About the Author

Jeremy Whitley is an American comic book writer and artist, known as the creator of the series Princeless. In 2011 Whitley joined Action Lab Entertainment as their official Director of Marketing and head of PR, where he handles solicitations, reviews, press releases, and interviews. Jeremy has also co-written licensed properties from the publisher including the 2012 digital mini-series "GlobWorld" and the ongoing series "NFL RushZone". In addition to his original creations, he has also been a regular writer for IDW's My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic and My Little Pony: Friends Forever.Brenda Hickey is a comic artist and writer from Prince Edward Island, Canada. She's had an unhealthy obsession with the comics art form from a very young age, and can't remember a time when she wasn't drawing. In 2007 she graduated from the Holland College Graphic Design program in her home town of Charlottetown, and had a short stint working in layouts in animation. Now she mainly focuses on comics, and her most well known work is on IDW's My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic series. Another wonderful series from the creators of the My Little Pony comics. When I found out the Friends Forever series was ending, I was deeply saddened, as it was a favorite of mine and I loved reading the pairings of the ponies and the adventures they went on. Due to this, I was hesitant to start reading Legends of Magic. But I really enjoy the new series. For starters, Starburst, a pony I strongly identify with and really enjoy, is a feature in all six of the stories. He is a great character that gets some good development during the course of the series. Also, each story features great cameos. Princess Celestia, Princess Luna, and Pinkie Pie all make an appearance, while Starlight Glimmer appears twice. The subjects of the stories themselves, the legends, are full of humor, entertainment, and wisdom. I would recommend this for older pony fans, and the only reason I say that is that there is one story that deals with some monsters eating ponies, zombies, and so on and so forth. But overall, an enjoyable read for pony fans of all ages.

I liked it; the book is good for anybody looking for some fan made theories about the past of the two sisters and Starswirl. The art is on point, plot is ten out of ten, I only have one criticism: the book is too short! Many mysteries are left unanswered at the end, making me wonder what would happen next. I hope the author someday elaborates on Celestia and Luna's past, but other than that, it was great! I recommend this to any bronies who are curious about Equestria's past.

I'm not sure if this is cannon or not but I've really wanted to know more of Starswirl and his role in teaching the sisters. Some of the faces and expressions in the scenes are adorable.

This was ordered by my 5 year old granddaughter. She did that on a tablet that i gave to her for Netflix and child games. We should probably both be punished
