This is the first product to which I have ever given a single star in an Amazon review. It is the single worst purchase I have ever made online.The guide appears to have never been reviewed by any form of editor, or even proofread by the author. It is organized in a rough outline format but there is no consistency in level, font, or indent to indicate how sections are meant to be grouped. Each item is labeled only as "1." throughout the entire publication. There are literally 40+ headings labeled as "1." with subheadings all as "a.". More frustrating are the multiple definitions, illustrations, and practice questions that are just plain wrong. There are sections with no punctuation at all, and several instances of words randomly repeated and used completely out of context as if the entire work was translated from another language via google translate. Steer clear of this at all cost!

The book is a shortened version of the ASQ Certified Green Belt Six Sigma Hand book. It helped a little bit as it was much more succinct that the handbook and was a bit clearer on a few of the subjects. However, as a study guide for the ASQ Six Sigma Green Belt Certification test you will need the handbook and other materials. The handbook is confusing and organized strangely. This study guide was not much better organized. The worst thing is that I don't think anyone bothered to edit it. There were numerous grammatical errors as well as sentences and paragraphs that made no sense whatsoever. The only reason to get this book is as a guide to the handbook or to help clarify one or two items. However, I would suggest the Lean Six Sigma Pocket Toolbook. The Quality Council of Indiana has an excellent guide. I did not buy it but studied it after I took my certification test and it is thorough. In addition they have a test software with 1000 questions. Many of them are really hard. It can be configured in many ways such as by DMAIC step or other categories. They have the answers too. I took many tests and let it guide me as to what I knew and what I did not. It drove me to go online and find additional resources to help me which saved me during the test. All the resources were of benefit but if I had to give one up it would easily be this study guide.

Bought this book to take a practice exam. A lot of questions were poorly worded, repeated, or contained multiple choices that were identical to each other. My biggest issue with the book is that the answers to a lot of the questions were straight out wrong. After checking with other materials, and online research, this book is just giving out wrong answers. do not buy. look elsewhere

I have to be honest with this review. I don't often poor reviews for products but in this case, I felt it was necessary to mention a few of the challenges with this book.(As a note, the examples used in this review are suggestive but NOT found in this book.)The positive aspect of this study guide is the 100-question quiz at the end of the book. I just completed (and passed) my Six Sigma Green Belt exam with ASQ and the exam content is very close to what you find in this study guide sample test. Even the attention to detail on having solutions with one-word answer differences is similar. For that, this book is great!There are downsides to this book as well. First, the study guide only provides a few ideas for each topic, and at that, the guide covers ideas on a very surface level. While the guide lists the types of statistical tools a Green Belt may need or encounter, the Green Belt exam provides illustrations of hypothetical results from tools and asks you to interpret them. This is particularly true with the various statistical process control charts. An exam question could be: "This graph is an example of the ________ process chart." You will not learn that type of knowledge from this book.Another negative is in the 100-question sample test. While I appreciate the test and answers, often the question does not provide insights as to why three of the four answers are incorrect with a question. Often, the solutions for the test provide minimal explanation. For example,"Which of the following tools would a Green Belt create during the Define phase?"a. Histogramb. Project charterc. Multi-var chartd. Revised critical flow chartThe study guide solution would provide: "The correct answer is b. The Define phase is when a greenbelt would draft a project charter." But it does not provide insight on when the greenbelt would use the other wrong solutions. It would be nice to see the correct answer and an explanation of other elements as well. For example, add "A greenbelt would use a histogram and a multi-var chart during the Analyze stage of a project, the revised critical flow chart would be created during the Improve phase." Additionally, answers to some of the sample questions are not found in this guide.Third, as other reviewers have written, the grammar and spelling are pretty poor in this book. At times, you can tell that autocorrect changed a word to something nonsensical (i.e. graph to graft). If you can get beyond that, then the study guide works fairly well. I know some will find this challenge irritating.Finally, the book is just too expensive for simple a 100-question test (if you disregard the study guide portion).If you're interested in this book, my study suggestion would be this: get this guide and the Six Sigma Handbook by Pyzdek and Keller, go through the 100-question sample test and read the solutions for each answer, use the appendix guide in Pyzdek and Keller to for the topic of each question and understand why the solution for the sample test question is correct, and commit the topic to memory for the actual test. That should give you a foundation for taking the exam.

Not recommending to take the exam, the course material lacks a lot of details and it is quite hard to grasp the material when you enter the measure phase of the DMAIC model
